Hawksworth is a village in Nottinghamshire, England. It is located 10 miles south of Newark-on-Trent. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 127.〔("Area: Hawksworth CP (Parish)" )〕 The Church of St. Mary and All Saints, Hawksworth is Norman, with an elaborate tympanum, but was almost completely rebuilt in the 19th century. Penguin.〕 The name "Hawksworth" derives from the old English "worth" to mean farm and the owner of aforementioned original farm, Hawk.
